Mass Intentions

Per a decree from Archbishop Zinkula, the suggested offering/stipend for the celebration and application of a Mass for a specific intention is $10.00. 

As of January 1, 2026, we will only honor one Mass Intention per scheduled Mass. An exception has been made for those who requested a duplicate date last year. We are currently scheduling Masses through January 15, 2027.

The practice of offering Mass for an intention, especially for a deceased person, comes from the belief in the communion of the saints.  Our prayers can help each other, even across the divide between life and death.  One scriptural example of this is found in the book of Second Maccabees.  "Thus he made atonement for the dead that they might be freed from this sin." -2 Maccabees 12:46  The customary offering for a Mass intention is $5.
Kristi Creek schedules all Mass intentions for the Calmar Area Pastorate.  To request a Mass intention for any of the pastorate parishes, please fill out the Mass Intention Request Form and mail to:
