Eucharist
“Look at the Crucifix and see how much Jesus loved you then, look at the Eucharist and see how much Jesus loves you now.” St. Teresa of Calcutta
The Eucharist is “the source and summit” of the Christian life, a taste and glimpse of heaven, and strength for our journey as disciples. It deepens the life and presence of Jesus Christ in us, given to us at baptism, by allowing us to consume and become one with “the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity,” of Jesus Christ Himself. As Catholics we encounter Christ in the Eucharist most regularly at Sunday Mass. There we share in the whole saving action of Jesus offering Himself freely to the Father, through the Holy Spirit and offering us a share in the sacrifice by uniting us to Himself. For our cluster Mass times, please see our bulletin, or the calendar. Daily Mass is also offered Tuesday at 5:30 pm, Wednesday at 8:30 am, Thursday at 8:45 am, and Friday at 8:30 am, with details also available on our cluster calendar or in the bulletin. We also draw close to Jesus in the Eucharist through Eucharistic Adoration, a time when the Blessed Sacrament is placed on the altar for us to simply spend time in His Presence speaking with Him and letting Him look on us, as He loves us so deeply. |
