Holy Orders

“You are a priest forever, in the line of Melchizedek…” Hebrews 7:17

While we typically think most commonly of priests, the Sacrament of Holy Orders includes the diaconate, priesthood and episcopacy, wherein a man is ordained to communicate Christ the Head’s saving power in a particular way to a particular community, parish, or diocese.

Like marriage, this vocation is a sacrament of love, wherein God loves His people in a particular way and proclaims that love to the world.  Our cluster has been blessed to be the seedbed of a great many priestly vocations in the history of the Archdiocese of Dubuque and we would hope to continue to be so.

If you know of anyone who you think may have a vocation to the priesthood or the permanent diaconate invite them, as God may be wanting to use your voice as His own.  If you think you may have a vocation to the priesthood or permanent diaconate please contact Fr. Radloff.

More information on discernment within the Archdiocese of Dubuque can be found on the Archdiocesan's priesthood vocations page.
